Customization Step 1: Prescribe

During the consultation, the doctor does a visual examination of the patient’s skin and determines if she is suffering from any common dermatological problems such as dryness, inflammation, acne, melasma, photodamage or other premature signs of aging that would benefit from the inclusion of additional nutrients in her base product from the line.

The doctor checks off the recommended products with their suggested booster on the “prescription” pad supplied to the physician by PRESCRIBEDsolutions (see illustration). This “prescription” form is given to the physician’s assistant or aesthetician at check out.

Customization Step 2: Boost

The liquid boosters are packaged in pre-measured, sterile, individual doses specific to the patient’s individual skincare concerns.
While referring to the “prescription pad” containing the physician’s product and booster recommendations, the assistant opens the safety seal on the product, opens a sterile pack containing the boosters and pours the pre-measured contents of the booster into the product. The assistant may then either blend the booster into the product with the supplied spatula or pour it into the serums and then shake the product to ensure that it is properly mixed. The boosters have been pre-measured to ensure that the appropriate amount of the booster is added to the base product.

Customization Step 3: Present

Following the boosting, the assistant attaches a customization label to the product that includes the doctor’s name, telephone number and identifies the added booster. The total procedure easily takes less than 30 seconds per product.
The assistant then presents the products to the patient along with a brochure explaining the product, boosters and PRESCRIBEDsolutions. The patient leaves your office feeling satisfied that you took the time to blend a skincare regimen specifically to treat her concerns.
